LOS ANGELES — Klay Thompson’s charitable donations toward fire relief efforts no longer just hinge on how many points he scores.
Thompson plans to donate a total of $75,000 toward North Bay fire relief, a $6,000 increase from the $69,000 he originally pledged after scoring a combined 69 points in the Warriors’ previous three-game homestand. Thompson’s agent, Greg Laurence, added Thompson will leave outside donations through pledgeit.org/klay open until Friday. People can donate a flat amount.
Thus far, Thompson has raised over $350 in total donations. His shoe company, Anta, also matched Thompson’s original donation of $69,000.
