German soprano Dorothea Röschmann makes a rare Bay Area appearance this weekend in what promises to be a recital-lover’s dream.

Presented by Cal Performances, the program includes Mahler’s “Rückert” lieder, Schubert’s Four Mignon Songs and “Nachtstück,” Schumann’s “Maria Stuart” and Wagner’s “Wesendonck” lieder. Accompanying Röschmann is the ever-alert pianist Malcolm Martineau, whose work in vocal recitals always approaches the ideal.
Details: 8 p.m. Feb. 16; Hertz Hall, UC Berkeley; $63-$68; 510-642-9988, www.calperformances.org.
