The pork-o-rama that is Cochon 555 has just announced its lineup for chefs for the March 4 contest, and International Smoke’s Ayesha Curry is joining the group.

Curry and chef Jeremy McMillan will compete against fellow San Francisco chefs Sophina Uong of Bi-Rite Market (formerly of Pican and Calavera in Oakland and Revival in Berkeley); Jennifer Puccio of Cavalier (who did a stint at Rivoli in Berkeley); Howard Ko of the Loews Regency (a Wine Country veteran, now in S.F.); plus Scott Romano of Dry Creek Kitchen in Healdsburg.

The 555 in the event name refers to the 5 chefs, 5 pigs and 5 winemakers involved. A week before the competition, each of the chefs will receive a 200-pound sustainably sourced heritage-breed pig from which to make a maximum of six dishes.

The winning chef will go on to further competition in Chicago.
