Freezing rain and black ice led school districts in Sussex and Warren counties to call for delayed openings on Wednesday, Feb. 14

School districts in northwestern New Jersey called for delayed openings on Wednesday after freezing rain left a coating of black ice on area roadways.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Sussex, Warren and the western section of Passaic counties until 8 a.m.

The weather is expected to warm considerably Wednesday with highs in the 50s for much of the state.
