A bicyclist and a pedestrian using a scooter were hit by a car Tuesday evening in Palo Alto, a police spokeswoman said.
The collision occurred around 5 p.m. A vehicle westbound on Embarcadero Road was attempting a turn at the intersection of Bryant Street when it hit the two men, police Lt. April Wagner said.
Both men were taken to Stanford hospital. They had reportedly been conscious at the scene. Wagner could not give out any more information about the extent of the injuries.
She said police do not believe that alcohol or drugs contributed to the accident.
The collision closed Embarcadero Road in both directions at Bryant, near Castilleja School. The street was reopened around 6:15 p.m.
