7:40: Now get ready for the working, sporting and terrier groups. The winner of each group, of course, becomes a contender for best in show. Rumor the German shepherd won last year. Here’s a look at best in show dogs in the 20 years before Rumor took the prize.

Before the show starts, though, here’s a refresher on some notable local wins from Westminster week.

A total of about 3,200 dogs have competed during Westminster events this week, including 2,882 in the traditional breed show, which continues tonight. Of that number, 175 have come from New Jersey.

Fame(US) — “Famous” — a border collie from Sparta who usually just goes by “Fame,” won the 2018 Westminster Masters Agility Championship on Saturday. Fame finished an obstacle course in an amazing 29.53 seconds. For more, see our interview with owner and trainer Jessica Ajoux and a look at Fame’s swift run.
Heart, a Labrador retriever from Columbia in Warren County owned by dog trainer Linda Brennan, managed to pull off a three-peat by winning the 2018 Westminster Masters Obedience Championship for the third consecutive year. Heart was also the first dog to win obedience when it was added to Westminster in 2016. Here is Heart’s full “freestyle” routine from Monday’s competition.

7:30 p.m.: Just a few hours from now, one dog will be crowned best in show at the 2018 Westminster Kennel Club dog show. We’re following along live with all the action, from the remaining group competition to the final sprints around the ring at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Need viewing information? The dog show runs from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13 on FS1 (Fox Sports 1).

The first night of competition on Monday gave us the winners of the hound, toy, non-sporting and herding groups.
