It happened around 8:30 a.m. in the snow

A bus taking students to school during the Tuesday morning snowstorm slid off the road and crashed into a tree in Lakewood, though no injuries were reported, officials said.

There were about five children on board when the bus crashed around 8:30 a.m. while it was en route to Tashbar, a non-public school in the township, according to Lakewood school board attorney Michael I. Inzelbuch.

The crash, which also involved another vehicle, took place near the intersection of New Central Avenue and Miller Avenue and was weather-related, Inzelbuch said. Snow was falling across much of the state earlier this morning.

The vehicle is owned by Jay’s Bus Service. was first to report the crash.
