Laura Leal has taken responsibility for a physical confrontation with boyfriend Nick Gordon, telling a judge in a letter that she is bipolar and is seeking help for anger issues.
Leal has asked the judge to lift the no-contact order against Gordon, who was arrested on domestic violence charges over the weekend. Leal filed the letter along with other documents with Seminole County, Fla., according to TMZ.

Gordon, 29, gained notoriety following the mysterious 2015 death of his then-girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child shared by singers Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown.
Leal seemed to be confirming Gordon’s accounts when he called 911 early Saturday morning and said, “My girlfriend is acting insane on me right now.”

“I am seeking help and determined to take the condition seriously as I have been diagnosed bipolar,” Leal wrote. “He is not at blame, and should not be pushed into any trouble or consequences due to my actions.”
She said the police report contained inaccuracies and that she had not been injured as reported. “Pictures were taken of my face the night of the incident because cops stated my lip was ‘bleeding’ when in all reality my lips were chapped and dry … There was no marks on my face.”
The incident began as the couple was driving home from a bar. Gordon allegedly struck Leal, and the fight continued inside his residence.
Gordon was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court in early April. He was previously arrested for battery against Leal in June 2017.
