The New York Mets started the 2018 season with an 11-1 record.

The Mets looked invincible, until of course, they came back down to reality.

Losers of 10 of their last 11 games, the Mets stand at 28-36, and are second-to-last in the National League East.

The only bright spot for the Mets is Jacob deGrom, who is 2-2 in his last 10 starts with an 0.87 ERA. The fact that he’s 2-2 and not 8-0 with an ERA less than one run a game is unbelievable.

There’s no doubt that the Mets need to have a fire sale at the trade deadline.
