Next inspection at 3.30 (IST)

As rain has started falling again, the inspection has been scheduled for half an hour from now, that is, 11.00 (local time) and 3.30 PM (IST). Captain Virat Kohli and Vijay Shankar and other Indian players are just having a look at the ground from the dressing room balcony.

The rain has gotten heavier and the hover cover is back on and thus the inspection will also be delayed. The ground reports say there is no breeze and hence even if it stops raining, it will take time to dry up the ground.

Spit. Drizzle. Rain.

Walking outside the ground… we are between spit and drizzle right now!! It’s not starting at 10.30am or any time soon. #CWC19 #IndvNZ

We’ve got those 75 minutes (that can be added) and maybe a shortened game. There’s a lot of time and we shall have to wait. Seems like a slow-drying day.”
