Premier League fixtures for the 2019/20 season have been confirmed, with the Red Devils presented with the daunting task of hosting Chelsea on the opening weekend.
The Old Trafford clash has been pencilled in for Saturday 10 August at 3pm, although this could yet change if the game is among the opening batch of televised games.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s men are also set to face Wolves away and Crystal Palace at home in their first three games as they look to improve on last season’s disappointing sixth-placed finish.
Man Utd take on Premier League champions and local rivals away on December 7th before the return fixture at home on March 7th. Their first match against old enemies is at Old Trafford on October 19th before the away game on January 18th.
The Premier League’s most successful side have an intriguing festive schedule that sees them face Watford away, Newcastle at home, Burnley away and finally Arsenal away on New Year’s Day 2020.
Man Utd endured a torrid season despite an upturn in form after Solskjær replaced Jose Mourinho, but a poor finish saw them finish five points adrift of Tottenham in fourth.
This time, the Red Devils will face Crystal Palace away, West Ham at home and Leicester away to round off the campaign.
