Come on United Kingdom, let’s get sickening!
The UK has officially said ‘shantay, you stay’ to RuPaul’s Drag Race, and announced a launch date for the highly anticipated new season of the drag queen reality television show.
The first UK adaptation of the global hit series will showcase the most fabulous drag queens that the UK has to offer. The eight-part series will see 10 fierce British contestants battle it out – and sissy that walk – in order to be crowned the UK’s next drag superstar.
And what’s even better is that Aussies will be able to stream the series on October 4, the same day as the UK, on Stan.

This season, RuPaul and the fabulous Michelle Visage will feature as main judges on the show, with Graham Norton and Alan Carr appearing as rotating resident judges. Each week, one of them will join RuPaul, Michelle Visage and a celebrity guest judge – asking one contestant to “sashay away”.
When asked about the new season’s resident judges, Mama Ru responded with her trademark humour, saying: “I was both shocked and delighted when Graham and Alan told me they’d be wearing tucking panties when sitting at the judges’ table. I told them it was not necessary, but they insisted. Now that’s what I call dedication!”
The US series of RuPaul’s Drag Race has delivered such iconic queens as comedy legend Bianca Del Rio, Shangela Laquifa ‘Halleloo’ Wadley and Australia’s very own Courtney Act, and we can hardly contain our excitement for the new gaggle of queens about to hit our screens.
We’ve already been introduced to some of the contestants, including Northern girl Baga Chips, ‘mum friend’ Sum Ting Wong and comedy queen Vinegar Strokes, and it looks like the competition is going to be fierce.
So gentlemen, start your engines, and may the best woman win.
