Bay Area Rapid Transit has resumed service Thursday morning after a computer failure led to system-wide delays.
BART told commuters to “seek alternate forms of transportation” at about 4:58 a.m., according to a social media post. MUNI, AC Transit, Contra Costa Connection and Sam Trans were providing mutual aid due to the disruption.
“We apologize for the inconvenience,” the tweet concluded.
At about 5:50 a.m., BART told commuters it was up and running again but to expect “major delays” due to the earlier problem.
BART is recovering from an earlier problem. Train service has resumed systemwide. Expect major delays in service system wide due to an earlier computer failure.
