Samsung TVs will be the first brand to adopt the Xbox Game Pass streaming app.
The app will be available through 2022 smart TVs using the new Samsung Gaming Hub starting June 30.

Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can connect a controller and stream more than 100 games without a console.

Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft’s video game streaming service that’s drawn comparisons to Netflix, will soon be available on 2022 Samsung TVs.

A new feature, called the Samsung Gaming Hub, will let Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers launch the Xbox app right on their TVs. Members can then connect a controller to stream more than 100 games without the need of an Xbox console.

Samsung is the first TV brand to adopt the Xbox app; the app is also available on Apple and Android devices, and you can stream Game Pass on popular computer browsers like Microsoft Edge, Apple’s Safari, and Google Chrome. 

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is required to stream games and costs $15 a month. Along with streaming games, Ultimate subscribers can download even more titles to their PC or Xbox console. Progress is saved to the Xbox cloud service, so you can go from playing on your phone and resume the same game on your console or smart TV.
