For the first time in a few years, folks are able to celebrate the holidays in proper fashion and Campbell venues are stepping up with some holly jolly events, from concerts to Santa visits to teas.

Celtic Christmas

Campbell’s Heritage Theatre is hosting a family-friendly holiday show on Dec. 9. Celebrating 12 years of national touring, “Christmas with the Celts” performs a combination of ancient Irish Christmas carols, lively Irish dance and contemporary songs with Irish instrumentation.

This year, “Christmas with the Celts” will introduce Irish musicians Patrick D’Arcy from Dublin and Fiachra O’Regan from Connemara. These two have performed with Bono of U2, Sting, Quincy Jones, The Waterboys and Bill Whelan of “Riverdance.” Singer/fiddler Luisa Marion will be the featured performer.

“You can’t listen to Celtic music and not be happy,” show founder Ric Blair said in a statement. “It is a music of the people.”

The show is set for 8 p.m. at the Heritage Theatre, located at the Campbell Community Center, 1 W. Campbell Ave. Tickets are $55 at HeritageTheatre.org or 408-866-2700.
