
OAKLAND — A man was in stable condition at a hospital after he was shot in the leg Tuesday afternoon in an East Oakland neighborhood, authorities said.
The shooting happened about 2:10 p.m. in the 4200 block of International Boulevard near the city’s Fruitvale district near a fast food restaurant.
The shooter, a male, fled on foot before police got to the scene. Investigators did not share a detailed description of a suspect or an associated vehicle.
A motive for the shooting is under investigation.
Streets in the area were shut down while police investigated.
