GILROY – A man suffered serious injuries in an unprovoked stabbing Monday in Gilroy, police said.
The stabbing was reported around 10:30 a.m. in the 7100 block of Eigleberry Street, the Gilroy Police Department said in a statement. The man was taken to a hospital and was expected to survive.
Police said the stabbing appeared to be unprovoked. The victim did not know the suspect.
The suspect was described as a Latino man in his 20s with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt with a yellow Adidas logo and a Raiders baseball cap.
Police said the suspect is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone who sees him is advised to call 911.
